E Safety

ICT is an integral part of our everyday life. Technology brings with it many fantastic opportunities, where information and fun is available at the click of a button. Modern technology changes at an incredible rate. The Sony Walkman of one day has become a library holding millions of songs the next.

With this ever changing tide of technology comes challenges. Therefore, it is vitally important that in school and at home children are kept safe from seeing things that would upset them and that would put them at risk.

In school all staff have taken part in e-safety safeguarding training including practical sessions on how to ensure children are safe whilst in school. E-safety is part of our curriculum and age appropriate information is being shared with children as they interact with technology.

A parent information workshop has taken place which shared practical advice and more are planned for later in the year.

To support you at home this page will contain links to resources which will provide information and practical guidance on how to keep your children safe online. As we develop our e-safety curriculum we will add to this page, so please check back regularly.

In addition please get in touch if you know of something which we should add to these pages or if you would like further advice.
