Over the first two weeks back we have begun our topic Bella Italia. We began by boarding ‘Bluecoat Airways’ to take us to Italy where we researched this beautiful country including some of its fabulous landmarks and geography.
Following a look at The Leaning Tower of Pisa, the children built a solid structure using spaghetti and marshmallows. It took several attempts to make our buildings stand up alone but one group managed 46cm high!
Year 3 have researched and watched video clips of volcanos: how they are formed and the various types on our amazing, changing earth.

We have begun our new topic of Chocolate with gusto in Year 3. We are learning the history of chocolate and about its origins.
The children are enjoying discovering characters in our story, Charlie and the Chocolate factory, and imagining their own inventions to be considered by Willy Wonka!
