Flag Fen trip
What a fantastic time we had at Flag Fen! The weather was wonderful: sunny despite being a little crisp.
The children were beautifully behaved and this was remarked on by the team at Flag Fen and made us all proud.
Year 3 were completely engaged in all of the learning and displayed great knowledge of their learning about the Stone Age to date.
We managed to fit so much into our day including: viewing the original causeway bridge, sitting in a replica of the 4000 year old boats, storytelling inside a roundhouse with a central fire, making our own pottery and lots more.
We began to learn about the Bronze and Iron Ages too which we will now expand on in school.
The Soay sheep at Flag Fen were amusing too!

The children are enjoying discovering characters in our story, Charlie and the Chocolate factory, and imagining their own inventions to be considered by Willy Wonka!
