A great week!

What a great week!

I would like to say a huge well done to all of the children for their fantastic sportsmanship and teamwork at our sports day event last Tuesday! It was a great pleasure to welcome so many parents and other visitors to the event and I would like to thank you for your support. The children really appreciated the great encouragement from everyone as they participated in their chosen events and competed both for their own personal best performances as well as for their house teams. Congratulations to the Red Team who won our Sports Day trophy this year and well done to the other three teams for their great efforts!

I would also like to thank all staff, children, parents and visitors for your kind birthday wishes and the lovely flowers, gifts and cards. They were very much appreciated. Our sports day was a fantastic way to mark my 50th birthday!

Sports Day 50th Birthday

We had a really successful week with so much to be proud of. In addition to our great sports day, our Year 3 class attended the mini commonwealth games in Grantham where they had the opportunity to meet some paralympian athletes and to particpate in an exciting range of games and activities. We are all delighted that they won the banner competition out of all of the school entries and in so doing, won £100 worth of new sports equipment for our school! Well done to all the children and staff in Y3! You will soon be able to see some great photos of the event on the gallery section of the website.

We are all looking forward to next week now! On Tuesday we will be recording our first ever school CD! More information to follow soon.
