We enjoyed spending the last week of term learning all about the traditions and customs of the Chinese community for Chinese new year.
We learnt all about the river race story which helped us to use numbers that order and we learnt about the tradition of leaving sweets or coins in lucky red wallets as gifts which aslo helped us with counting and coin recognition.
We were particularly taken with the dragon dancing and made a dragon of our own and we really enjoyed trying to eat noodles with chopsticks.
