Happy New Year!

I would like to wish all of our children, staff and parents a very Happy New Year! And what a fantastic start to 2016 for our school! Following our Ofsted inspection on 15th and 16th December 2015, we were very proud to share the outstanding outcome with our school community last week. The outcome is testament to the hard work and shared vision we have all had to become the very best school we can be and the high ambition we all have for every pupil to reach their potential.  I would like to express my sincere thanks to every member of our skilled and dedicated staff team, our Governors, parents and of course our children for their commitment to achieving this amazing outcome for our school. I now look forward to leading our school through the next phase of it’s development as we have lots of exciting new plans and ambitions for the future!

I also had the pleasure this week of accompanying our school choir to the Young Voices concert at the LG Arena in Birmingham on Friday. Once again, it was an amazing experience for our children to be able to participate in the concert and to enjoy singing and performing with over 6000 children in a national arena. The staff, children and parents who attended the event all had a fabulous time and I would like to thank everyone who worked so hard to prepare the children to perform in the event. My special thanks to Miss Stanworth who led the rehearsals throughout the autumn terms with the choir. Miss Stanworth also took to the stage to perform with the teacher choir at the event and we were all so proud of her!  There will be a gallery of photographs from the event for you to enjoy from Monday and we will also provide parents with details of how you can access additional memories from the concert on the Young Voices APP next week.
