We have been combining our learning around spring and the farm. We have learnt about the season of spring and the signs to look for. On Thursday the reception children created a spring hunt and we had lots of fun following the clues and finding different signs of spring in the outdoor learning environment.
We developed our physical skills around a farmyard obstacle course, just like the story of 'Rosies Walk' and carefully stayed within the tracks while ploughing fields with a tractor!
At the craft table we have painted flowers, carried out observational drawings using pencils and took part in mark making using different types of spring flowers.
In mathematics we have sorted seeds and taken part in lots of counting activities with an egg and chick focus.
Next week we will be enjoying making Easter baskets, Easter nests and fairy cakes and of course our trip on Wednesday to Sacrewell Farm. We have some very excited children!
