Monday 5th September 2016 - Welcome back!

Welcome back to school and to Year 2!

We had a wet start to our term in more ways than one today as we were greeted this morning by drizzly weather as we walked in and then began our Love Every Drop! topic with a carousel of water activities throughout the day.  Here are some of our activities.

We made a boat to carry the animals across the water.

We fished for the days of the week and months of the year, putting them into the correct order.

We explored ways to find out which containers held the most and the least amounts of liquid.

We investigated how many 1p coins it took to sink a pot and then thought about what other coins we could use to have an equal amount of money.

In the process we also created many puddles which we thoroughly enjoyed mopping up afterwards!

About Me

Name: Year 3

We have begun our new topic of Chocolate with gusto in Year 3. We are learning the history of chocolate and about its origins.

The children are enjoying discovering characters in our story, Charlie and the Chocolate factory, and imagining their own inventions to be considered by Willy Wonka!
