Anyone for Gruffalo crumble!!!!

This week our learning has focussed around the story of The Gruffalo. The book corner has been transformed into the Gruffalo's wood and the children have used the story book and props to re-tell and act out the story. It has been lovely listening to the children taking turns, negotiating, sequencing and remembering key parts and phrases from the story.

We have sequenced the story with picture cards, created a music score to play alongside the story and created the characters of the story through dough, paint and finger puppets.

The children worked as a whole class to make a Gruffalo crumble...... A fruity Gruffalo crumble with a digestive biscuit topping!!!!!

Over the week we have been preparing the children with new knowledge in preparation of our new arrivals next week. On Tuesday we will become 'proud mother hens' with the arrival of eggs, incubator and brooder. The children have been working really hard on their clucking skills!!!! Please come and look at the eggs and chicks with your children over the next two weeks, either when dropping off or collecting.

Heres to a cracking two weeks!!!!

Polite Reminder that Dad's day will take place on Wednesday.
